Meeting Planning Tips to Engage and Inspire!
1. Walk in their shoes.
Take a step back during your planning process and be sure to picture yourself as the attendee, keeping their perspective in mind. Does the confirmation package have what a delegate needs to arrive and navigate stress-free? Walk through your event venue to find the best spots for signage, where is the best place for volunteers and helpers?
2. Bring them all together!
If you expecting new and returning guests, begin your event with a unique gathering as an icebreaker to help everyone connect and it will help make first time attendees feel comfortable.
3. Let them explore.
Give attendees the opportunity to experience local cuisine, culture, activities etc.. Give them time to explore and relax a little and you will find that they are more involved and enthusiastic throughout all aspects of the conference.
4. Give them a voice.
Make the process engaging by giving attendees time and space to contribute their own ideas and insight throughout the entire meeting.
5. Don’t Forget a Prompt Follow Up!
