Destination Hotels & Resorts Philanthropic Teambuilding Activity at Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center

Team members from our corporate office and over 35 of our hotels and resorts across the country descended upon Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center in New Jersey this January for our annual sales and marketing conference. As part of the conference each year, the entire team participates in a philanthropic teambuilding activity where the end result helps us give back to those in need. Plus, the team has a lot of fun and this year we got moving too!

Our evening teambuilding activity began with a welcome from General George W. Casey, Jr., one of the most accomplished soldiers in US history and an authority on strategic leadership. General Casey spoke to the Destination Hotels & Resorts team about the importance of supporting our military and the individuals who serve and protect our nation. We then broke into teams and embarked upon a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel. Each team had to answer a question to reveal the next clue for their hunt and at each stop they picked up one item to be placed into their team’s care package for a military unit overseas. When all was done each team was smiling, a little out of breath and had put together a care package that was ready to be shipped overseas.

Each care package contained:
- Small board game
- Beanie Baby (these are handy when they come across local kids)
- Snacks
- Personal hygiene items
- T-shirt
- Thank you note from the team
- Photo of the team
- Gift certificate for a two-night stay and breakfast for two at one of our hotels and resorts for when they return to the U.S.

Special thanks to the Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, General George W. Casey, Jr., and most of all to the individuals and families of those serving in the military.
