A shining example of this commitment to excellence comes from Vail Cascade Resort, where Steve Trombetta has worked in guest service for almost 30 years. Now Director of Guest Services, Steve is consistently praised by visitors for his personal attention and over-the-top service.
Recently, a sheik was undergoing knee surgery in the Vail area and stayed at Vail Cascade with his large entourage of 30-plus people.
“Since his stay was during Ramadan, he requested to use our kitchen and asked that no one else use that kitchen,” Steve recalls. “The staff all pitched in, procuring a whole lamb and much more.”
With commitment like that, it’s easy to see why Steve received the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association in 2011. He was bestowed the honor at an awards luncheon held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, where nine other outstanding Vail Cascade associates were honored with nominations for the “Outstanding Employee of the Year" award, including Nickole Moriarty, Margaret Pittman, Jonathan Seidt, Scott Copertino, Mike Benedict, Jill Flanagan, Kirsten Stuart, Devin Trickel and Tom Keith.
Our growth continues with the recent addition of both Boston and Chicago area properties.
