Are you adventurous? Do you like to take the road less traveled and experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? If the answer is yes, then the Rolling Safari Tour is for you!

With AlliedPRA, a recent group was lucky enough to go behind the scenes at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in a very unique way; by off-road Segway! This wildly exclusive tour took guests off the beaten path and up close to many of the Asian and African animals. Guests were first taught how to operate the Segways (two-wheeled electric personal transporters designed for off-road travel) and off they went for a special Safari Park adventure.

Guests were led by a tour guide on both paved and dirt paths around several of the Parks huge field exhibits. Everyone was able to visit with animals up close and enjoy the ride.

Following an incredible rolling tour of the Zoo Safari Park, guests then strapped on their harness and were off to the zipline! Ziplining above the Park, guests marveled at breathtaking views across the mixture of plains, and lush greenery that make the Safari Park so beautiful.

This fun-filled, action-packed day was truly one to remember, and guests had a ROARing good time!

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa’s First Annual Green Meeting Symposium was held on May 24, 2011.  As a Green hotel and meeting facility, Estancia La Jolla was proud to host this seminar bringing together industry leaders and professionals to cover the topics of Green trends and practices in the meeting, special event, and hospitality industries. 

As the Director of Sales for Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp at the Elite Meetings Alliance in Las Vegas Nevada!   Aside from playing drums on stage with 6 well known rock and rollers from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, (including one of my musical heroes from the 80’s!) it was one of the most unique team building experiences I have ever participated in!   I would highly recommend the activity for your company or group’s team building exercise. 

Here in San Diego, we just experienced our first week of the year that broke the 80 degree temperature mark!  Summer is on our minds!  We want to share our beautiful weather with our meetings and business clients and welcome you.  When I moved here 4 years ago from Seattle – it was mostly to escape that rainy weather that can leave you yearning for the sun…  A few days in this San Diego weather can cure those spring shower blues!
