I recently worked with a group of professionals from a healthcare company going through a transition in leadership who raved about their experience with some of Santa Fe’s most gentle residents … the horses. It was a brisk and sunny January day in New Jersey at Hamilton Park Conference Center. (Did I say “brisk?” I meant fuh-reeeeezing!)  The 18 of us gathered for our Tech Affinity Team breakout.  Now, to be honest, I had been to last year’s and I was, well, not inspired. 

I recently attended Destination Hotels & Resorts 8th annual sales conference held at the Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center in Florham Park, NJ where over 200 sales professionals gathered for three days. Personally, it was my 7th conference and they keep getting better and better each year. Not to mention, Hamilton Park delivered an amazing meeting experience! 

During the information packed conference, the national sales managers broke out into their respective “Affinity Teams”.  Affinity teams are a great concept within Destination Hotels & Resort.  These teams focus on key segments of the meetings industry making the Destination Hotels & Resorts sales managers true experts in their assigned field.  Within each team, information is shared between members on mutual accounts, trends in the industry and ways to better partner with our key clients. While we did get a lot accomplished during the sales conference, the Food and Beverage Affinity team, also threw in a little fun!  Who wouldn’t like a blind taste of some of the best beers around? After all, beverage is part of our specialty.
